Yes. After two weeks of trying to get a response from Premiere Opera,
I wrote again this morning, in exasperation:
Ed,
As you know, I've been sending you e-mails for two weeks, on a regular
basis, to get you to cancel my order and, yesterday, I even left you
voice mail, having found your business telephone number off of the
internet. At this point, I don't want to hear any more excuses. Please
just cancel my order, once and for all, and issue a full refund to my
credit card. You've had my money for almost four months now and there
is no excuse for delaying this further. Please respond to let me know
you've taken care of the matter.
WELL, I've just gotten this response:
Your order is in the process of being canceled, and will be fiished
being canceled today.

Okay, perhaps not the most detailed response ever received by a
customer, and, true, I would have liked to have been given an estimate
on when I should actually see the credit issued to my card, but still,
it's a step forward in the right direction. And since Ed is probably
as sick of me as I am of this whole fiasco, it's about all I should or
could hope for.
Once I see that the refund has been issued, I will post a final
update. I should, at the very least, let you all know, if it turns out
to be true, that Ed conducts his business with his customers
honestly.
